This cd is incredible!
Definitely a must for X-Sinner fans.
Fun, good old fashioned rock n roll.

Rex' voice sounds great on this, btw.
Just Got Screwed is a hilarious song about being conned. She's Got Balls is about a very vocal woman...lol

Good to hear! But I still want some samples. How is the production? As good or better than the first? And is it the best GX ever because it is NEW or because it's really the best one ever? Will probably pick it up just want to hear it first. Glad to hear Rex's vocals are better than the last one.

Mikeinfla,
The production is top notch.
And it is the best of the 3 because it is the best of the 3, not because it is new. Good question though.
The style he hits on this disc is my favorite of the 3 GX releases.

I haven't had an e-mail that "Raze Some Hell" is shipped. You've made me curious how all the songs sound NoOneIsHere.

I didn't think they sent emails about shipping, at least I didn't get one. I only knew they were shipping from his Facebook page. Then it showed up in the mailbox

I didn't get an email either. It just showed up at my door.
As far as production goes, this is the best musically of the 3. Rex's voice is much more like what he did with X-Sinner and Zion.
Lyrically, I have mixed feelings. There is some definite anger towards the church that is aimed at the "preacher man". I am sure that Rex has ran up against some crooks, but it almost feels like we're all being lumped into that. I am probably mistaken, though. Also, at the end of the song about being conned, there is an exchange between Rex and another character on the phone. The other character is "Bob from Irvine" who wants the band to play on a Sunday for free. Combining those three automatically made me think of Pastor Bob Beeman who pastored Sanctuary for many years.....in Irvine, CA. I hope it is just mere coincidence, but it felt intentional. Again, I am probably missing the mark.
There are a few songs about needing more "love". These are written that if you are a Christian you will probably see Christ as love. If you are a non-believer, the messages could be taken partly as needing love for hope and sometimes could be taken in a sexual sense.
So, it may take me a while to digest these properly. Rex's vocals are greatly improved but still hard to understand. Without lyrics, these songs may turn a few folks off.

Sounds promising, but I still gotta hear something. Looking a little bit more forward to this one now. But most of the time if I want to hear a band that sounds like AC/DC I will just listen to the real deal (who, by the way, just released their catalog Monday on spotify).

The more I listen to it, the more I love this album.
Great stuff.
Mikeinfla, most bands sound like someone else. You may not have always heard the band that they sound like, but there is very little original sounds out there.
X-Sinner, Barren Cross, Fear Not, Trytan, Great White, Jackyl, Millenium Reign, etc etc....all sound like someone else.
Anyway, not trying to change your opinion (yes I am..buy buy buy), but I think if you gave it a whirl (you want to buy it now) you would really love it (remember, buy buy buy).

They are holding off on releasing the mp3 on various outlets to try and prevent the rampant illegal sharing. They are trying to give the CD a better chance to sell.
Once they release the mp3 I am sure samples will be everywhere

You can do clips without releasing the whole track. There is too much free software that would allow them to cut an MP3 and only share tidbits.

I have my copy, and I am loving it. So not having samples isn't that big a deal for me...hahaha
All the feedback I have seen thus far is the same, best GX yet.

I also have the CD. I understand not wanting to release the full digital files. I don't, however, understand not releasing clips. That's like having a sale at a store but not advertising it. Who's gonna know?

Yes, and they did this with the first release. They sold a bunch of CD's then it showed up digitally. The second one I believe was released digitally from the get-go because I ordered it the day it came out from iTunes. I have seen the reviews of it too, and if I can't find any audio clips before the weekend it over I may go ahead and order while Roxx has their July 4 sale going on CMD:
We are having a Flash (like a firecracker) 4th of July Sale!
15% off the whole store now through Sunday! Have a great and happy 4thof July!
We love and appreciate each and everyone of you supporters out there!

Mikeinfla,
I know Rex was majorly ticked off last time about how quick the illegal downloading sites had it.
Right or wrong, he believes that releasing cd only to begin helps slow that.
I was tempted to make some samples for you, but I couldn't find a program to do it the first time I looked.

Roxx may be having a sale. I bet Girder does as well. I just know I ain't buying nothing from Girder until I either get my stuff or I get a refund.

For me -- for whom English is not the native language it would be very nice being able to read the lyrics .

Never had any problems out of Roxx at all. Awesome service, and if you order now mention you want a free copy of CrossForce that you saw mentioned in this video. And you can use the discount code above.

Don't get me wrong, I do not support illegal downloading of music and I do support buying music, but c'mon Rex...
"Please do not file share or copy GX music so we can afford to make more great albums like these two! Thanks! (for every song that gets file shared illegally online, GX can potentially lose several thousand dollars.)"
Several thousand dollars per song??? Can we say "overstatement"?

Well, really, when you think about that it isn't that far fetched.
Person A shares the song with Person B, who shares with Person C, who uploads it to a file sharing site, where 300 to 500 people download the song and THEY upload to file sharing sites....so on and so on.
The only question is whether GX has enough popularity to spawn that.

As someone who's been on both sides of the downloading fence, I personally would snag songs or albums from file sharers to give them a listen all the way through. If I loved the album, I'd buy an original for my collection. If I didn't care for it, then I considered it money saved. In the 80s and 90s, I bought countless albums thinking they'd be great, only to find out there were only 1 or 2 songs I liked... or sometimes the entire album stank - and that after I dished out 7.95 for it.
Like Messiaen77 above, I do not condone illegal downloading, but that is what I used to do and the reason I did it. Today we have Spotify, so I don't need to download anything to listen all the way thru.
I agree with everyone else here in that there's no reason an artist/band can't upload snippets for their fans or potential future fans. I can't tell you how many albums I've bought over the years cuz I played a snippet and was SOLD immediately !
And finally, on the subject of lyrics. I too have issues with some Pastors/Churches, but I don't feel the need to trash talk them (or trash them in song). Sure there are many who are preaching Grace-coated-works, or are focused on money, some who have good intentions but fail in one area or another.... but it's cuz they're human !! Can't write 'em all off, and we shouldn't trash any or all in songs (unless they're preaching false doctrine maybe). God ain't happy with trashing His servants. Beeman isn't perfect, and I'm sure he's made his share of mistakes... but if Beeman is Rex's intended target, well, that's really out of class for him. I thought a little more of Rex. Also on the lyric topic... is the Balls song a cover of AC/DC ?
