Many of you are familiar with Darrell Mansfield. Darrell is a noted bluesman and someone who is very vocal about his faith in his music. His long time guitarist for his band is Eric Turner (not the one from Warrant).
Eric did three albums several years ago under the name "Eastgate Eric Turner". Those albums were more rock oriented than the Mansfield stuff. Eric's vocals are in a lower range, but his mix of blues and hard rock just seemed to work with his voice to me. I've long wished for a 4th album.
Well, I did not know that my wish had been filled--two years ago. Eric has a band simply called the Eric Turner Band. He has an album out that released in 2013 called "Rise". The CD is available through both CD Baby and Amazon. I think I am going to try just the downloads for now, though.
Check it out here: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/ericturnerband

Listening to the samples on Amazon and think I just might need to add this to my list. Very blues based but still very much rock (just like I prefer).

I am not sure. Seeing that Eric Turner has played guitar on many Darrell Mansfield albums, I would think so.

This is cool but the sound quality is poor.

It was cool, and the sound quality sucks!
You cannot take video from a concert and be up close to the bass amp or monitors. It will distort every time. You have to move out of the wave of the bass and use your zoom to get up closer.
