| I'm against it unless he allows a morality clause that would enable people to not vote due to a moral or religous belief. | |

| Completely against it and I agree with Beardad that it reeks of fascism. It's already bad enough that we are forced by law to have medical insurance....now this.
However I do think that if you do not vote you should lose your right to complain about how the country is governed (not that I'm sure it's a "right" per se) _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| How can you force people to vote. It is a right, a freedom to vote. People are fighting wars to get this freedom. | |

It's a law in Australia. But I believe there's a morality clause similiar to what I alluded to above.

Thats alot of Americans that knew him and his agenda and agree with him.. All those percentages prove is that most people simply don't learn and they don't do the research to verify what they are told. They simply believe whatever they are told by their friends, celebrities, and the liberal media. Most people are content to believe it is sunny outside simply because they have been told it is, rather than get off their lazy backs sides to go look out the window to see for themselves. Obama is nothing if not a smooth talker; he tells people what they want to hear. As for your "That's a lot of Americans that knew him and his agenda and agree with him" statement -- the American people don't vote for the president, the electoral college does. You can have fewer citizens from a larger state, like CA, vote than those of a less populated state, like SD, and the CA voters can still win due to how their electors vote. "By the people, for the people" .... pfffttthht!

| even if it wasn't an electoral college vote and was a genuine people vote the stats show that he would have still won...i think the stats are dead on..it might be hard for you to believe but I really am convinced that that many Americans support his ideas...alot of people are no longer interested in the ideas of the past... |

| The other thing is that for both elections African Americans voted in much higher numbers. My job is about 95% black people (which doesn't bother me one bit) and I remember several people saying they'd rather vote for him than anyone else. | |

| Sherri Shepherd was co-hosting The View at the time of Obama's first election. She said right there on national TV that she had never voted in a Presidential Election until Obama. She was 41 at the time. | |

I don't disbelieve that that many people believe in him. I simply don't understand it. Of course, stating that people did, or do, believe in Obama doesn't really say that much. Most of the population of Germany believed in Hitler during his rise in the 30's, and even throughout much of the war. And sadly you are right, people are no longer interested in the ideas of the past ... morality, decency, holiness, etc. They want Sodom, and they have it.

And sadly, much of this sentiment was based on skin color alone, the "one of us" mentality. I cannot help but wonder who would have won if Ben Carson had been running for president at the same time.

And sadly, much of this sentiment was based on skin color alone... And that crossed cultures, too. I heard several people, regardless of skin color, say that they voted for Obama because they wanted to be a part of history.

It's a law in Australia. But I believe there's a morality clause similiar to what I alluded to above. I think it's weird... even with the morality clause. Why make a law...What is the worst thing that could happen. Being elected with only 30% of the population?

| You can't really say that all those people voted for Obama because they agree with him. Sometimes it really is who a person perceives as the lesser of the evils.
Mandatory voting will never be a thing here.

Not at all. I just suspect that we will have a woman president soon. I am earnestly praying and hoping it isn't the next presidency, as the only woman that appears to be looking at the job is Hillary. But I agree; if the right woman presented herself, had the right qualifications, values, and agenda, I would vote for her.
