Gonna see Foreigner  Empty
PostSubject: Gonna see Foreigner    Gonna see Foreigner I_icon_minitimeThu Feb 12, 2015 11:28 pm

My Mom got free tickets to see Foreigner at the Primm Casino and Resort in April.
Should be pretty cool to see this classic old band... only bummer is, I'd rather see them with Lou Gramm, but I'll take what I can get.

Their current line-up is;
[*]Mick Jones – lead guitar, keyboards, synthesizer, bass, vocals (1976–)
[*]Thom Gimbel – rhythm guitar, saxophone, flute, keyboards, backing vocals (1992–93; 1995–)
[*]Jeff Pilson – bass guitar, backing vocals (2004–)
[*]Kelly Hansen – lead vocals, percussion (2005–)
[*]Michael Bluestein – keyboards, synthesizer, backing vocals (2008–)
[*]Chris Frazier – drums, percussion (2012–)
[*]Bruce Watson – lead guitar (filling in for Jones ; 2011–)

So I guess I'll get to see the legendary Mick Jones.... and rock out to their classics as interpreted by Hansen.

Actually, these days Kelly sounds better than Lou. I picked up "Extended Versions" a few years ago when I saw it in the $5 bin at Walmart. I thought it would be a good laugh and it was a surprisingly good disc.

Very cool Guilty/Forgiven to see playing Foreigner live.
In the time I listened more to secular bands they belonged to my favorite bands.
Enjoy Foreigner live.

For a second there, I thought that Mick Jones and the one that played guitar for the Clash were the same guy. Then I realized they weren't....

Anyway, enjoy the show. Be a Juke! Box! Hero!

Sounds like a fun show, and I agree that Kelly is a good replacement for Lou (still loved Lou best in this band though)
