| What is the overall opinion of cdbaby. Are they reliable? Anyone here ever order anything from them digitally with their phone? Any problems with either iOs or android with the transfer and input of information? | |

| I ordered Saint's The Collection off of CDBaby and it worked just fine. Used my PC, not a phone. | |

| I've used them loads of times, and whilst they aren't the quickest ever I'm still very happy with the service. I'm in the UK, so that may have made a slight bit of difference.
Last thing I ordered was Trust by Letter 7, and that took about 2 weeks to come through. I've only ever ordered physical CD's though, apart from Virginia Creeper's single songs - they came through fine too.

| I use the PC to order CDs. That's true what Fundy mentioned. CDbaby is not the quickest when you are at an other part of the world.
Before CDbaby changed from owner I liked their service much more.

| Never had a prob with them, but I've only used them about 5 or 6 times. First time I used them I did the download only of an album and it worked fine on my PC. Next few times were for CD orders, and they arrived within a reasonable time. | |

| Never had any issues but it has been years since I have ordered anything from them. Mostly digital downloads and I did order one physical CD from a local band and shipping was pretty fast. | |

| I've ordered CD's from them before and never had issues. I don't use digital downloads so couldn't speak for that, but CD wise no issues. I don't use them much anymore as I use a different site now for all my melodic rock releases. | |

| The download I got earlier this year (an EP) worked fine but I d/l on my PC, not my phone. I'd try re downloading from your PC as it seems your download was corrupt. I've never heard of an np3 unless you meant mp3, but 36K is way too small a file size to be valid. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| When I first discovered the "mp3" back in the mid 90s, I ripped my first album to my PC- however, I knew nothing about file size or quality and I ripped the album at SUPER low kbps... after listening to the horrible "tinny" album on my computer, I said this mp3 thing will NEVER take off. | |

I also remember the early days of mp3's (and I quoted the wrong message above! )I worked at a radio station and we used to make all of our commercials MP3's to send to other stations. Many of them were still in the mind set that they had to come to our station and "pick up" a tape copy. It took a while for them to get used to us sending them via e-mail (I think at the time we even used mp2, I don't know if it is still around or not but the quality was better than mp3). Also during this time for extra cash I was working nights as a club DJ. Since we were making commercials as mp3's why not music? So I would make a "mix disc" and blend songs together for a huge, seemless block of music, sometimes 45 minutes to one track. This way I could take a huge break and just play one long cut. The other DJ's were amazed that I was able to do it, none of them had ever used mp3's before. So I knew mp3's would take off. But the 128 sample rate is garbage.... Back when Napster was still around this is how I found a bunch of out of print Christian Metal bands. All on 128 kbps mp3's.

| I have never used them for a phone download.
I have bought many a CD and download from them, though, with no problems.
When I first started using them, they were owned by the guy who first started the company. I could get CDs from them in 2 days. Then, he sold to a company out of Nashville. It now takes me 10 days to get a CD.
Downloads have always been instantaneous from them. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/
