Flyleaf Premiere New Song

The band has decided to premier a new song off of their soon to be released studio album. This will be the first studio album without Lacey's unique (and fantastic IMO) vocals.

I'm surprised to actually like the song, but I have to rather agree with one of the comment's posted on the Revolver page...

I disagree about the "heavy rock element comment"...the band steadily shifted away from the hardcore style vocals and heavy music with each release, their last album with Lacey was one of the less heavy moments in their career. But I might tend to agree (at least in part) with the Fireflight comment, in that the band now has a generic female modern rock vocalist. Depending on how well the album is received this could be the last album from the band (unless Lacey returns).

Thanks for the feedback,  I was starting to think this thread was going to die completely ignored.

I'm not sure I want to rush out and buy it on release day, but I certainly wouldn't mind hearing more tracks from it.

I like the song and the singer.  Yes, she sounds like everyone else, but that's what record executives seem to want from rock bands these days.  Overall, I think  I would like to hear what else this new incarnation of Flyleaf has to offer.

I would prefer, however, to have a Lacey solo album.
