First Strike-Rock of Offense This was produced by Micheal Roe of the 77's but was aking to Icon if you remember them. Anyways, been looking to get this for awhile now and unbelievable found it in some hole in the wall store that had a lot of records. Also picked up Ressurection Band, Rainbows End and Bootleg, all three for 7.50.

Not bad at all! Cliffy did a remaster of the First Strike album some time ago. I have it, and I think it's a vinyl rip, so the sound quality isn't fantastic. However, the songwriting is very good. My only problem with it is the vocals; there's just something about them that turns me off a little bit.

Excellent score! I've always been disappointed that First Strike was never heard from again. Slow Poison is my favorite song on the record.

I have passed by Union Gap a few times over the years traveling on I-82, but I don't recall ever stopping there. Funny though last year I just did some facade support design for the new Cabela's that recently opened there.

First Strike was a great band.... I have the vinyl and Cliffy's remaster... great stuff... I saw them live in 87/88 with their second singer in Sacramento at the Wherehouse....
I used to own their four track demo with the song Power on it.... great stuff

I have a bootleg CD of First Strike and Cliffy's remaster. Good stuff! I always thought the album was a bit juvenile but that more albums would have made them into a killer act. Sadly, we never got to find out.
As to the Prodigal stuff, I have also heard that they are reissuing those albums. I just don't know when.

I want to ask what's the difference between a CD-R and a bootleg?

A bootleg is just a recording that isn't sanctioned or produced by the band or their record label. Historically most bootlegs where live recordings made by audience members at a concert (and usually traded). The term has seemed to expand over the last 20 years to include copies made of original studio recordings, or demos that are again typically traded (or even illegally sold). The format of these recordings could be CD, MP3, tapes, records etc.
A CD-R is a recordable compact disc. When someone indicates that they have a CD-R of an album it usually means they do not have an original copy of the album, but a Compact Disc copy of the album given to them by a friend.

A CD-R can also be an original recording but it's burned rather than stamped.

Can't tell from the photo but that DuBiel EP looks pristine. I never think anyone is going to pay more than like $40 for an album/cd etc. but I am shocked at how much some of those things sell for.

I've dropped a pretty penny on some rare albums that were well worth it... and I would go up to $35 on the DuBeil... but their asking price is just too much for me ! Shame.
