I watched an Argentinian film The Secret In Their Eyes the other night. It's a drama with mystery/suspense/thriller elements and was quite good. It does earn it's R-rating however, so be forewarned.

Tomorrow I am supposed to be getting my next two discs from Netflix in. They will be the 1st 2 of 18 discs for Doctor Who. So for the next few weeks I will be on a bit of a Doctor Who journey.

^Ha, I could've told you those wouldn't be good just from the trailers!

Christopher Nolan is THE most overrated director of our time IMO. Memento was good, and his remake of Insomnia was decent... but everything after that was pretty meh (yes, including the Batman movies - ESPECIALLY them!).

And the Wachowski brothers (er, "siblings" now)... well, they haven't made a good movie since the first Matrix!

I haven't seen Ant Man though I've heard it's good. I've always liked Paul Rudd.

Re-watched Bonfire of the Vanities this weekend (hadn't seen it in probably close to 20 years). It wasn't nearly as bad as I remembered (still nothing to write home about).

Maggie (pseudo zombie film). This film is absolutely not a Zombie horror/action fest at all. It is a drama flim...and not a very good one at that...neat premise but the overly muted colors and uber low-lighting that the flim makers used make the film beyond dreary (almost unwatchable). The ending feels like a cheat...I cannot recommend the film...not even for hardcore Schwarzenegger fans.

I truly wasn't impressed. The characters are almost as flat as Manakin Skywalker as a child in the Star Wars prequels. The final battle with Dr. Doom was done in another dimension so the urgency of saving the Earth was just not felt. To be honest, it was just lifeless and made me appreciate the previous two Fantastic 4 films all the more. I would prefer for them to bring back that cast, but I know it won't happen as the previous Human Torch is now Capt. America.
