I would also agree that 3-4 weeks isn't too long. However, based on what I have heard in the past I suspect there will be some people come March that are still complaining they still don't have their disc. But I hope I'm wrong.

I would highly advise buying anything from this guy. He is a total fraud. He's been like this since his first record.

First: Welcome to CHM Celldwrll ! Glad to have you !

Second: Having dealt with Benson a couple times and corresponded with him many times, I agree with your statement that his music shouldn't be purchased directly from him - I highly recommend purchasing his album via different sites that carry his CDs, downloads, LPs.
 
However, and thirdly, I wouldn't want to apply the term "total fraud" to him. You have that freedom, but I prefer not to, though I have been righteously pissed off at him for taking 3 months to send me an album I ordered - and many emails/chats to get him to do so.
I made a comparison to him of Vic Griffin and himself. When I ordered directly from Vic, I rcvd the order within days and he added a Bible, guitar picks and personally signed the CDs to me (without me asking).

If I were to assume Benson's problem, it would be disorganization, procrastination maybe.. but though he's terrible in business, I don't believe he's being deliberately fraudulent. Doesn't mean I'm right, but having chatted with him on multiple occasions, and ultimately making firm statements to him about his irresponsibility, he came through for me and gave me more than I ordered to make up for the "long time" it took

This is my take on David. Again I may be wrong as I prefer to be an optimist... but I believe and hope that he is not deliberately fraudulent.

I have to agree with Guilty/Forgiven. On the other hand, Benson does have a history of disorganization, so I wouldn't buy directly.

Matter of fact, David and I have had more than a few great chats. I sense a genuine man with a well-intended heart. He seems on track doctrinally. He does have strong opinions politically, some I agree with, some, well... let's just say he's pretty upset with how government is handling things (can't say I blame him).
I once told him he needs to talk to Vic Griffin (whom he worked with on this most recent album) and learn a thing or two about how to conduct business transactions. Unfortunately I was mad when I wrote it, and he was hurt by it (though I was right and he really SHOULD take lessons from how Vic does business, I shouldn't have wrote while angry). After he came through for me, I apologized for the way I came across, and he apologized for taking so long to send out my CDs.

Again, future albums by Mr Benson will be purchased via other sources  

On a side note that Benson/Griffin collaboration turned out great musically. I would love to see a Trog/Griffen collaboration.

I was supposed to contribute some vocals on his In-Graved project, but it never materialized. :shrug:

I have an instrumental version of the benson/griffin record. If anyone is interested.

I would totally dig an instrumental copy if it's still available. I dig that album musically a lot.

I donated to the kickstarter on this one also, then had to go round and round w/David to get my cd. He eventually came through, and even sent a few of his older cd's as well...

The instrumental version of Evil Killer smokes! I can't stop listening to it.
