I stumbled across a new band the other day when I went to a local Christian bookstore. The name was The Neverclaim. They are a worship band with a touch of a country, or Americana-rock, sound. Check them out:

Hey I dig that! They didn't give the bass player much face time in the vid though.

I downloaded this and the new Icon For Hire albums from eMusic.com. This one I like a lot. The Icon For Hire--not so much.

Lots of Needtobreathe sound which seems to borrow from Mumford.

After hearing that latest single the Icon For Hire released, I decided to avoid them like the plague.

I wish I hadn't bought the downloads for Icon For Hire. Luckily, I got them through eMusic so they were not expensive. I bet on their next album, if this one is successful enough to warrant another, that they lose the rock guitars altogether and go with the more dance/pop/electronica/Lady GaGa sound. Icky yucky bleck!
