| So just wanted to rant a little bit here.
Why are there so many Christian metal releases that the CD is a ridiculous amout of money?!!?!? I was adding some stuff to my wish list at Amazon and Joshua's Intense Defense is $40 USED!!! GRrRR!
And every Implletteri cd I looked at is $20 or more!!!
And Theocray's self titled is OOP and not even listed!
Okay, I feel better now.

| Because that is what is known as free market economics. People will charge what the market says it will pay. People charge that for those CDs because historically someone is willing to pay that. I won't, but someone would. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I thought my son lost my cd for that first Theocracy album a few months back. I was in a panic, I was standing there holding the cd case and he could not find my cd. I was thinking to myself, I paid like $13 for this new, but probably can't replace it today for less than $30 (for a used copy). Fortunately he found it, but I promptly made him his own copy.

| What I think about this? So many CDs like "Intense Defense" of Joshua, both Mastedon CDs, the first two X-Sinner CDs and much more stuff are rare, some are ultrarare. Those who sell those CDs can ask what they want. If there's a fan who really wants to have those "beauties" they want to pay many $$ to get what they want. | |

| Joshua is supposed to be re-recording "Intense Defense" for release. If that happens, the originals might not be worth so much.
The first Mastedon CD has already been remastered/reissued. I hope that John Elefante decides to do the same for "Lofcaudio". _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| Christian metal..especially the older stuff...is/was not printed in very large numbers because it is not real popular.
There are a lot of obscure secular metal cds that go for crazy money too. They are the equivalent of our Christian metal in terms of fan base. |

| Theocracy is re-releasing the debut as well with improved mastering and some re-records I believe. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| Some bands, for example Apostle only releaded their music on cassettes.
That is great news the re-recording of "Intense Defense".

| Isn't the guitarist for Apostle, Matt Harding, dead now? If that is true, then you will never get the early Apostle albums on CDs.

"Prepare to Meet God" is the only direct CD release Apostle did. Even if you do a web search, the other Apostle stuff shows as cassette only. There are CD-R versions of this running around, but most of those probably originated in my living room. I transferred the early cassettes to CD-R for Pastor Bob (yes, of Sanctuary fame) and have shared several with friends who have probably shared with friends. I have never seen a real CD of anything other than "Prepare to Meet God".

| Retrospect Records has a spot on their web site for releases by Time Warp, Evil Eye, etc...
They take and make cds of unreleased stuff all the time.
I got Hymns from them, and i have seen others at various times.

| Retrospect Records put out Hymns!? Is it remastered or anything? Also, have you ever seen Chariots of Iron on cd? I would love copies of those, I'm afraid to play my tapes too much. | |

I got Hymns from them, and i have seen others at various times. Be careful. Retrospect has carried a lot of unlicensed (bootleg) titles over the years. They did one of Malachi's albums like that that was a bootleg.

| That's not good Retrorespect Records has sold bootlegs. You can't see that when you order a CD @ Retrorespect Records. | |

| Good news about the Theocracy album - I have mp3's and enjoy it a lot. Even better news about the Joshua CD... now if that Angelica album would just get re-released. | |

I don't know about other titles from Retrospect, but that Malachia album was definitely not remastered. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."
