Vintersorg - pagan/viking/folk/black/progressive metal (singer of Borkngagar's solo project)
Cronian - progressive metal, singer and guitarist from Borkngagar
Borgazur - Christian chaotic/progressive black metal
Wintersun - melodic/symphonic black metal
Orphaned Land - progressive death metal with middle eastern influence

Glad to read that ismael81 has never heard of those bands too.

Is Vintersorg a Scandinavian band?

Yup, Swedish.  They're quite good!  I just don't listen to that style of music much anymore.  I particularly like the first four albums of his.  Lyrics are clean though not Christian - which goes for all the bands besides the unblack ones which are obviously Christian.    Vintersorg's earlier stuff is often about Pagan mythology and the like though which I know some folks wouldn't be down with.

I found a sampler last night with a Light Shall Prevail song on it.  Pretty good stuff, if you like that style...

Updated. Sold all the Cynic CDs; added Anaemia, Golden Resurrection, Last Chapter, and Lo-Ruhamah.

I had never heard of Njiqahdda  - I tried to pronounce it and it felt like I was sneezing.

LOL.  It's "nee-gee-kah-dah."  They've changed their sound over time a fair bit but to generalize, I'd say they're post-black metal.  They're quite good and I used to listen to them a ton, but they got pretty new-agey for me, thus I'm selling their CDs.

I'm not big into post black but I'm tempted to try them just so I can tell friends "Hey, I found this band I really like called Njiqahdda! They're great." and then watch people's face as they try to understand what their name is...

Hmmmmm.

I just put a ton of Wovenhand and 16 Horsepower CDs up for sale - basically their entire discographies. (I had a little spat on FB with Wovenhand who was quite rude. I've been a huge fan of theirs for years and years but that lost me and took out any enjoyment from their otherwise stellar music for me.)
