Most of us hate commercials. They interupt what we're watching, and some are simply annoying. But you have to admit... some stick in your skull for the rest of your life. Here's a thread where you can recall a TV commercial jingle or saying that has stuck with you. As an example: "We're American Airlines, doing what we do best" "I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony, I'd like to buy the world a coke..." "Rumba, Rumba... Rumba Rumba" (here's one of the cheesiest from the 80s) "Stater Brothers- Where the girl next door can become your wife, where a friend of yours is a friend for life" "Kiss ! That's the name, Kiss ! They really look insane !" "When you got a Whee-Lo, what have you got? You've got a magnetic mystery top !"
What are some commercial jingles or sayings that have never left your head ?

"But Jim never has a second cup of my coffee". Yuban ran those "second cup of coffee" commercials for over 2 decades.
"Where's the beef?" Everyone loved that old lady lamenting the tiny hamburger portions at some burger joints...but not at Wendy's

I remember those. I remember one coffee commercial where the guy takes a sip and said "DANG ME, that's a good cup of coffee !" My brothers and I used to mock that one all the time. Ha, good times.

Hmmm I don't remember that one (but it sounds funny).
Here's a few more.
"Hey Kool aid!......Oh Yeah!"
"Don't squeeze the Charmin"
"The best part of waking up...is Folders in your cup"

I remember the Tootsie Pops ones really well. Those were a staple of Saturday Morning TV when I was a kid
I can't think of any others at the moment that really stand out

I have very few t-shirts with prints on them, but I have one with the tootsie pop owl and kid.

For some reason that reminds me of a silly song from the Flintstones.

I don't have any favourite commercials anymore. I haven't watched TV in a while, mostly because nearly everything on there is junk.
But this is a classic:

Loved that "Hanker for a hunk of cheese" video.
Anyone else remember the rumor that Mikey from the life cereal commercials mixed pop-rocks with coke in his stomach and had a fatal result? Even at the time I remember thinking how stupid that was.

OMG !! I will refrain from any comments I am currently thinking as it would probably start a huge discussion and that's not what this thread is about... but suffice it to say, that public service made my day ! Thanks BT !

Speaking of commercials... I need the help of you old farts who know the old classic rock of the 70s/80s - THIS IS BUGGING THE POO OUT OF ME !!!!! This hilarious commercial posted below has a guitar shred in the background after the kid is driving away with a black eye... I know that old song but can't place it... PLEASE help me (and impress me) by telling me who that is and what song that was.

Its actually a new song called " you can't win them all" by Hanni El Khatib. It sounds very 70s to me..maybe some foghat guitar influence.

The funny thing is, I'm hearing the rest of the guitar solo in my head after they cut away.... I KNOW I've heard that somewhere... that's gonna bug me until I figure it out
