Mission Of One news

I have sat back and whined for 4 years because I wanted my project to be perfect. Well, it is never going to be because I am involved. So, while I am off with my ankle, I have convinced my sweet wife to bring my recorder to the house so I can finish this. I have been so afraid of failure that I just haven't done anything. I have learned that you cannot fail if you do not risk. Not finishing, however, is failure.

So, I am pledging to work on these mixes and just do the best that I know how. I will work a few hours at a time since I have nothing else to do right now. Hopefully the mix can be completed in a couple of weeks.

Great you pick up mixing the Mission Of One album now.

Sweet news! I've always wanted to hear this stuff. I know what you mean by wanting a project to be perfect - I always get demotivated after a bad take (which is 98% of the time for me Laughing

Alldat, I'm really excited to hear your work man! Don't obsess over the imperfections... listen to some of the best classic rock and metal out there... the slight variances and imperfect nuances are what we love the best about some of that great material! Brilliant news! Really glad to hear that you're picking it back up. I know what you mean about trying to make things perfect, but the track(s) you sent me sounded great back then so even if they were finished like that I would think the album would be really good anyway!

After talking to several people about helping with the mixing, I am pleased to announce that Jacob Veal and VR Music in Cookeville, TN will be mixing the new project. Jacob used to play guitar for Eden's Way and later for Eowyn. His expertise will take this project to a new level. Under our agreement, the mixing will be complete by June 30th.

I will be getting more than help. From this point on, Jacob will solely handle the mixing. When that is done, then I'll find a way to get this mastered before it is released.
