Petra 40th Anniversary Tour

Petra can't seem to ever retire completely it seems...

After essentially calling it quits in 2006, Bob Hartman, John Schlitt and Greg Bailey continued to do limited touring as "Petra" for 4 years.

In 2010, Bob formed "Classic Petra" with Mark Kelly, Greg X. Volz, Louie Weaver and John Lawry, recorded one album, and toured for two years.

Now Petra is embarking on a 40th anniversary tour, but they're back to the 2006 lineup, except with a different drummer (apparently the other three members of the "classic" lineup are busy with other projects or something).

While I am excited that I'll hopefully be able to see Petra this summer, I wish they at least had a keyboard player, so they can play some songs that involve a keyboard (such as "This Means War" and "He Came, He Saw, He Conquered" among others), unless they plan to "borrow" a keyboard player from another group. I don't care as much about the vocals, as Greg X Volz and John Schlitt sound similar.

It's also ironic that they're going on a 40th anniversary tour, yet many people wouldn't recognize their early stuff.

June 8th - Detroit Lakes, Minnesota (Hopefest)
June 27th - Kings Island (Mason), Ohio (Spirit Song)
June 28th - Kings Dominion (Doswell)l, Virginia (Kings Fest)
June 29th - Mount Union, Pennsylvania (Creation Northeast)
July 19th - Wilmar, Minnesota (Sonshine Festival)
August 10th - Creation 2013

I just wish they'd decide which version of Petra they are doing and stick with it.

I thought I heard there were like 3.. in addition to the II guys from Petra thing..
