... what does "Burlap to Cashmere" mean ?
Band's pretty good, but I've always wondered what the name means.

Just guessing - burlap is very rough and abrasive, and usually cheap. Cashmere is smooth, soft and luxurious, as well as being expensive.
It seems to be ana analogy. Before we get saved we're rough and cheap. After Jesus saves us we get our rough edges smoothed and our value - in God's eyes - goes up dramatically.

That's pretty much what I was thinking as well. Also burlap is common....cashmere is rarer. Probably could have called themselves "Coal to Diamonds" too (and get the whole "God's refinement" thingy thrown in with it).....but that might not have sounded as "artistic"
