John Schlitt, multi-Grammy winning recording artist and
lead singer of Petra, announces the sampler release of his third solo
project, as of yet untitled.

A montage of songs, complete with commentary by Schlitt, will be available for download on www.johnwschlitt.com October 1.

The
project follows Schlitt’s previous two solo albums, “Shake” and “Unfit
for Swine,” as well as “Vertical Expressions,” the 2007 debut release
by “II Guys from Petra” (Schlitt and Petra founder Bob Hartman).

The title of this CD is "Vertical Expressions".
On MySpace there are two madleys with songs of his new CD.

I'd love to hear some new John Schlitt. But, I hope it's better than the II Guys From Petra stuff.

Those were the samples from II Guys From Petra. The John Schlitt samples will not be available until Oct. 1, and only then on his website.

I have both his solo albums and think they are pretty good, although a little bit light. I probably won't buy the new album unless it's really great - but John is a great guy and the last Petra CD and DVD were awesome!

I had his "Shake" album for several months, but it could never seem to hold my attention. I ended up trading it to someone (probably apologetixfreak).

I have "Shke" which I found at a local pawn shop. An added bonus on that Cd was the brothers Huff, Dann & David. Oh what I would give to hear a new Giant album,. But anyways, if the samples are good, might be worth picking up

Yep, I listened to the samples and thought the same.
I am dissapointed I expected a bit more rock.

I agree. Would have liked it to be more like his Petra stuff.

But, this still sounds better to me than the new Michael Sweet solo album coming out. I probably won't buy either.

To be honest I wasn't a Michael Sweet solo stuff fan.

I liked Sinn Dizzy the solo band of Oz Fox.
It seems Sin dizzy will never release more than one CD.

What are cool rockin' Petra CDs?
The only one I have is "Jekyll and Hyde".
