| This is a message from Laudamus.
Laudamus has a new project coming up; our new CD”Rise”.
As you know, the music industry has gone through many changes in recent years. As a consequence, there are fewer opportunities for bands and artists to receive financial support from record companies. Funding for recording, marketing, tours etc is difficult. Therefore we need to find other solutions to keep our work moving.
And we have found it!
This gives YOU the opportunity to join in and help us with the recording of the CD and also the spreading of Laudamus’ music and message. In order to make it as easy as possible for you, we have started a fundraising in “Crowdfunding style”. Crowdfunding is a new form of financing born from the frustration that many entrepreneurs and creative project leaders experience when it comes to realizing their visions. We have chosen to cooperate with the Swedish site www.fundedbyme.com.
FundedByMe is a platform for crowdfunding, a tool for additional financial support. What we do is that we present the project, seek financial support and find networks. For you it means that you can donate money. The sum is optional but if you reach a certain level you get something in return from us. The sums are shown in Euro since we want to reach broader audiences. You can also get the sums in SEK. I'm enthusiast about Laumamus is working on a new CD after so many years. But the fact they need our money to make this CD is something I have to think about.

| So far I have not done any of these fan sponsored albums/events. I'm not opposed to them, but I seriously doubt I will kick in any money for one. I wish them the best of luck, but seeing as how they haven't put any music out in several years....I am not holding out a lot of hope they can get funded (of course if depends on how much money they are asking for). _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... | They are asking for 17,000 Euros. And, the rewards are WAY overpriced. I will wait for the release of the CD.
Tracy Ferrie of Whitecross and Stryper fame will be doing bass for them. Rex Carroll is doing the guitars. Michael Feighan of Whitecross is doing the drums. So, it sounds like it would be a mix of Whitecross and Laudamus with only the singer being in the studio for this project. Maybe they should call it Laudacross.
I'll buy it regardless. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

I'll buy it regardless. Wow that's over $21,000 US.....seems like a ton of cash. I would be suprised if Rex does all the guitars, their gutarist/singer is more than capable in that department. Even without those heavy-weight names on the album I am sure I would buy it too (unless it was a complete departure from their previous sound). _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... I would be suprised if Rex does all the guitars, their gutarist/singer is more than capable in that department. I agree that he is a great player, but he may feel that the "star power" of someone like Rex could help sell the record when it's out. If they have to get Rex, Michael, and Tracy over to Sweden to do this record, then you could spend $21,000 quickly on travel expenses. - Quote :

With the names associated with each instrument, I wouldn't look for much of a departure. Rex and Michael are known for being in a classic metal band. Tracy has done as much alternative as he has metal, but that shouldn't be a problem if he is the studio bassist.

| I wonder what happened wit the other Laudamus members? Aren't they able to play on the new CD like they have done on the other CDS?
I'm careful with giving money to band to release a new album. This really is a lot of money Laudaums need for recording one album. I think I'll wait till the CD is ready and then order.
