| Hello, I just updated Angelic Warlord to include a review of the debut album from Beyond The Rage, a modern metal band that brings a lot of qualities that I can see those into more traditional forms of metal should enjoy (mostly clean vocals with occasional screamed vocals and tons of guitar solos).
Following is the link: http://www.angelicwarlord.com/reviews/b/beyondtherage12.html
For next weeks updated I decided to take a short break from writing reviews of new albums and review a couple of classics metal albums from the eighties. Then it will be back to news stuff from The Sacrificed, The Seventh Power, Jaguar Blaze, etc.
Thanks,
Andy | |

| Is this the first modern rock/metal review on Angelic Warlord? _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Hey Andy, are you going to review Dreamer - Full Metal Racket? There are some cheap copies on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Full-Metal-Racket-Dreamer/dp/B000K38CD4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1330376023&sr=8-1 | |

Actually, this is the second in that last month I also reviewed Sins Of A Nation. But keep in mind that these bands are every bit as much influenced by old school metal as they are modern rock/metal. Both Beyond The Rage and Sins Of A Nation, for instance, feature mostly clean vocals (with some aggressive vocals thrown in) and tons of guitar solos.

That is a good question in that I have had "Full Metal Racket" for quite some time now but have never gotten around to do a review. Perhaps if it is re-issued that will force my hand.

I sampled all the tracks on this album and I'm definately going to pick this one up, it sounds like a better than decent modern metal album with some good variety to it. Another good band I discovered through Angelic Warlord. Keep up the great work Andy. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I am liking Beyond the Rage very much. The music reminds me of the more metal sound of Disciple and the vocalist sounds like a cross between Randy Rose and the singer for Stricken. I like it! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

metal sound of Disciple and the vocalist sounds like a cross between Randy Rose and the singer for Stricken. I like it! Thanks everyone- glad you enjoyed the review. The best part of running Angelic Warlord is the opportunity to introduce people to new bands and music. With that in mind, are they any other modern metal/rock bands with a sound along the lines of Beyond The Rage? By that I mean mostly clean vocals (with some occasional aggressive moments thrown in) and emphasis on guitar solos. The reason why I ask is that I REALLY enjoy what Beyond The Rage is doing.

| I liked their stuff, but not the Sins Of A Nation. Their vocals were much more harsh.
