I like the song. However, the song comes off more as Christian friendly than really having a message about Christ. I guess it could be interpreted several ways, though.
This song reminds me very much of Skillet with the more gravelly vocals during the verses. Is this the original singer?

Yep, its still the same singer. Outside of their first album, they were more of a Christian friendly band anyway, despite Paul McCoy's southern baptist background. I do think this is an improvement over Anthem for the Underdog (both musically and lyrically). It just seemed to me like there were a lot of songs with a negative vibe. Not that they had bad messages or anything, but they just didn't lift me up because I couldn't relate to them.
