| Bill Menchen is currently mixing a remix of the self-titled Seventh Power album, to be uploaded to iT***s and Amazon tomorrow. https://www.facebook.com/bill.menchen/posts/2483494963315 The reason for it is this, in Bill's words: "I am releasing a highly upgraded version of the debut for The Seventh Power. The album fulfilled it's five year exclusive licensing deal with retroactive so I am releasing it on... drumroll...Wrenchen Menchen Wrecords." "The bass and the vocals are unchanged. The existing drums have been worked over to give them a more raw organic sound than the 80's reverb type of sound they had on the original release. There were some drum edits on the original version that I did not use on this version. It's all original, all raw. The guitar had a lot of mid scooped out on my amp when I did that recording that I wasn't able to get back with EQ adjustments to my satisfaction so all of the rhythm guitar has been re recorded from the ground up. I made a few adjustments on some of the parts while I was at it." "It's a small run of CD's that will follow shortly so I won't be sending out free warranty discs. LOL? If you're an existing customer/fan we can make package deals on stuff." So there's no reason to buy it again, really… It's just news for people who like remixes and/or don't have it yet. (p.s. Bill's also thinking of giving Final Axe - The Axe Of The Apostles a similar treatment | |

| I am satisfied with what I have. I will pass on both. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Bill approached me with an MP3 of the new version of Christ Died. Almost everything sounds different. The ending is actually the original version of Christ Died; the album version is an edited ending. It really sounds cool.
For those who weren't impressed with the original sonics, this may be worth checking out.

| It isn't Bill's sonics or endings or guitar tones that gets on people's nerves. The two biggest complaints I hear are about his vocals being too monotoned when he sings and that his riffs/songs are too samey sounding. He doesn't vary much tempo wise from song to song and they all have the same structure. He should focus on new music while working on those issues rather than re-tweaking stuff that sounded fine the first time.

| I really do not mind Bill Menchen's vocals- granted there are better vocalists out there. Along this line, some of my favorite projects from the artist involve those in which he employed a different vocalist, such as the first Menchen album ("Red Rock") that featured Ken Redding and the last Titanic CD, "Full Steam Ahead" (with David St. Andrew).
Both albums were very professional and featured some of Bill Menchen's finest songwriting. That is why I echo the sentiment that he should be focusing on new music rather than re-working his stuff from the past, such as The Seventh Power, Redeemer, etc.

| Think of this album as what "The Revelation" by Saint is to "The Mark". That's the closest comparison I can make. | |

Cool. Then perhaps I can convince Bill to give me the MP3s so I don't have to rebuy this yet again. I got someone from Saint to do that for me without even asking. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

Perhaps it would make better sense for an artist to make their re-worked/revised material available free of charge- at least to those that purchased a copy of the original work.

| That's a very good one Dynamis. It seems very populair for band to reissue previous albums.
I don't like it some bands are releasing older albums. They already are a part of my collection and what do you do with the older albums? I've decided only buy reissues when the CD is not in my collection. Or the resiise must be a much better one than the original CD or there are added some very cool bonus tracks.
