The Fleming & John campaign has already surpassed it's goal by double!

I got both the full albums by Fleming & John and Steve Taylor's "Squint".

I really like Goliath. It is different than his older stuff but fun. I think all of his albums offer something a little different.

I had asked about whether Taylor and new band were doing a Kickstarter program for their new album. The answer is: no. They have stated that they did so well with their debut album's fundraising that they were able to do another album on the leftover funds.

Yeah, it went really well. Three times above the set amount.

Necro'ing this thread to mention that I finally got around to listening to Goliath. I realized I like the singles less than I do the rest of the album, for some reason. Tracks like Sympathy Vote and Layers seem more Steve Taylor than the other ones they released. It's all good, though. It took a bit to grow on me, but I like this band. The more heartfelt songs like Standing in Line or A Life Preserved are pretty good too.

Nothing wrong with resurrecting a thread, especially when it's about Mr. Taylor.

Speaking of Steve Taylor, he's started a Kickstarter for the Chagall Guevara release of The Last Amen which includes a live recording from '91 in Nashville and a new studio album as well. The goal was for $40,000 and as of August 4th, they have $51,579 pledged.

Received the Last Amen cd and lp. Halcyon Days package pending next. Sometime this summer, they hope to have the '91 s/t remastered cd/lp set available.

They're still kicking around the idea of Chagall Guevara doing a live show sometime in the near future.
