Stricken

So we're all doing the "This or That" thread, and Staybrite says "Stryken or Stricken?". At first I thought he was being silly, as I've never heard of Stricken.

Today I'm listening to "Dead to Self Radio" and a song plays by Stricken. I LIKE THESE GUYS ! What can anyone tell me about them ? And where can I find a copy of their album really cheap ?

Try Divine Metal Distro, I think they had a used copy of it for less than $10. I don't have the album either, but I have several tracks from the album (from various promo comps). I need to get it one of these days.

Yeah, I'm with you. I thought they were the same group but someone misspelled Stryken. Then you have Stryker...

I have the album and love it. It's heavy, but not so much that it gets lumped into the "extreme metal" category. It's just good groove metal. It has elements of both Tower Of Hundred and Krush--the two bands that came together to make Stricken. Sadly, they are disbanded now.

Bummer. Stricken was much better than ToH. I think Dave Meriwether was the only one from Krush.

Ya the Lead singer of Stricken is now in the Band Fall of Vegas. It also has Paul crawley and the original drummer from Guardian from their first watch time period. Also I heard that Doug Pinnick was producing the Album

It might be worth listening too the pedigree is there!!!

The first time I heard them was on the Deliverance tribute disc "Temporary Insanity". I loved their sound. I thought about checking them out and then realized why I didn't. I had seen the disc online before but didn't care for the cover pic and just passed it by.
