went through a few pages of posts and did not see a similar posting, so forgive me if I have missed another post like this....
Anyways, being curious such as I am at times, do you enjoy listening to stand up. If so, do you have a favorite?

I love standup, but really hate swearing. So I tend to go with the safe options. At the moment I'm loving Tim Vine and Milton Jones...

Beat me to Taylor Mason. He's my favourite Christian comedian, I think. He's got a great talent for ventriloquism.

I'm not familiar with any right now other than Larry the Cable Guy. Most of his set is OK with the exception of the potty humor.
The only one I used to love and even saw live once was Mike Warnke.

Tim Hawkins is my absolute favorite! It's become a normal thing to quote Tim Hawkins during youth group. He has a fantastic voice and a real talent for parodying other musicians.
After watching the last clip, I was never able to keep a straight face when my pastor would pray for a "hedge of protection"! Haha!

This is a great thread Pouncer.
I had no idea there was this many good Christian (or at least "clean") comedians.

Yes! Clean comedy is the best. I hate that so many people think vulgar=funny. I loved to watch Carlin when he would do Letterman or the Tonight Show because he would be clean and very funny. Same with Robin Williams (although he still pushes the envelope).
As far as Christian comedians, Stine, Lowery, Allen, Hawkins along with Ken Davis and there's another guy on the Apostles of Comedy DVD that's pretty funny.
I also like Foxworthy and Engval pretty well. I like Ron White, but his language gets pretty bad. Larry the Cable Guy makes me work too hard to understand him. I think Ellen Degeneres is one of the funniest people alive.
A lot of older comedians have lost their edge. I think Leno used to be funny, but not so much now. Bill Cosby was hilarious, but now seems like just another rambling old guy. (I heard that Larry the Cable Guy actually got his start opening for Cosby.)

It's the mumbling and volume at which he often speaks. Until a couple months ago I had lived exclusively in WV and KY, so the accent is no problem for me if that is what you are referring to.

Larry the cable guy is hilarious. However, the mumbling "accent" is all an act. I seen a stand up he did prior to the cable guy persona, and he was just like any other stand up (not very good at that)... I definitely prefer his persona comedy act, and his Only in America show - funny stuff
