| Have you ever preordered a CD? Yes, then you know how terrible it is when the relaese date was one week ago and you still haven't gotten your preordered CD. It's the new Echoing Angels CD, the release date was March 22 and I have gotten an e-mail my CD was shipped on March 24th.
What are your experiences with preordering CDs? My modest opinion is that when you have preordered a Cd you have to get it on the release date.
What do you think about preordering CDs and never have gotten the CD around or before the release date?

| I pre-ordered Jerusalem's She, waited about two months for it...pre-ordered The Violet Burning's Story of Our Lives in November (will be released physically in about a week), pre-ordered Believer's Transhuman (should be mailing shortly too.) While the pre-orders were sometimes aggravating, they were understandable. Jerusalem was through Australia's Soundmass.com, so I was expecting a long wait. Mark Pritzl of TVB has kept us fans apprised of things, so it isn't like we're being ignored. Believer should be a short wait. |

| The only time I have ever done preorders on a CD was for the remasters of Sacred Warrior "Rebellion" and Vengeance "Human Sacrifice". I was fortunate that they came in on time.
Other than that,I think I have only done one other pre-order and that did get delayed quite a bit,Stryper's book "By His Strypes".

| I have only ever pre-ordered once (Whitecross's Nineteen Eighty-Seven). And I only did it that time because Alldat scared with some statement about hoping the band would sell-out the first pressing.....
But the album actually arrived when it was supposed.
I have heard some terrible storys about people who preordered and never saw their cd.....I tend to just buy stuff when it's ready to ship. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I used to preorder everything, but I am not doing this much anymore. The wait can be ridiculous! If it is an album from an unsigned band, you might never get the CD. If it is from a major label, you will get the CD. However, you might have to wait a few days AFTER it's in the stores. The labels don't seem to be in much of a hurry to ship out pre-sold material. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Saw a message on Facebook that you can preorder the new Under Command CD too. I think I have to wait till I can order it. It seems preordered CDs are not important for the labels or bands, then why I have to preorder CDS?
I hope I ever get the Echoing Angels CD. "The Wait" is not over.

| For me it depends. Even thou you can't ever really get a guarantee w/the way some labels treat album release, I want to know that the actual release date is solid. I'm always leary because if you pre-order something and then all of a sudden the album is going to be released at a later time it's frustrating. So I pretty much avoid pre-ordering and wait for the actual release
Now, I did pre-order the LnJ "Chasing a Cure" cd because it's only a limited pressing and I think the release date is solid.

| I no longer do the pre-order thing. Have in the past but always seemed to get the run around (i.e.: the order gets "lost", or the label "forgets" to ship it). I prefer to wait until the CD is available at a reputable retailer. | |
