| One of the silliest things I think I have ever heard from PETA (I copied the entrie story becasue it is so short). - Quote :
- PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (AP) - An animal rights group wants organizers of Pennsylvania's Groundhog Day festival to replace Punxsutawney Phil with a robotic stand-in.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals says it's unfair to keep the animal in captivity and subject him to the huge crowds and bright lights that accompany tens of thousands of revelers each Feb. 2 in Punxsutawney, a tiny borough about 65 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.
PETA is suggesting the use of an animatronic model.
But William Deeley, president of the Inner Circle of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club, says the animal is "being treated better than the average child in Pennsylvania." The groundhog is kept in a climate-controlled environment and is inspected annually by the state Department of Agriculture.
Deeley says PETA isn't interested in Phil from Feb. 2 on, and is looking for publicity. http://www.komonews.com/news/offbeat/82796197.html _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| This is just ludicrous! PETA are a bunch of wackos. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| That's pretty much what I was thinking as well. I don't think they will be happy until all the animals are "free" and all the non-vegans are in cages. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Darn straight!
They need to realize that there is plenty of room for all of God's creatures--right next to the mashed potatoes. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

So if I get cut off in traffic and still my head out the window and scream, "Scrooge you!", then that would be a good sales pitch for Bill??? _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| Looks like Phil saw his shadow, so there will be 6 more weeks of wintery weather.
Of course, daddy used to tell us that if the groundhog saw it's shadow, that meant 6 more weeks of wintery weather. If he did not see the shadow, then it would only be a month and a half!

| And just in time, we're supposed to get several inches of snow this weekend (amount depends on where we live, like usual). Friday will start out with snow, then change over to a rain-snow mix, then back to snow, and it will continue snowing through Saturday sometime. Should be a lot of fun. We've only had one big snow storm this year, when we got about 4" in less than 24 hours on January 17th. | |
