Yes I think so, I believe it was based on the same series of children's books.
That reminds me,I still haven't seen the movie yet.

Bah, I'd rather have the original French comic books of Tintin. However, there's bits of racism in there that are an echo of the time period, like the first one where Tintin's in Soviet Russia, or his trips to America or Congo or stuff. Fun stuff, though.

Actually, this is the only movie in this series. It is just a film about the memories of one lady's dad (true story) and the life they had growing up with 9 kids. It is low budget being sold on the PureFlix movie roster. The acting is above average but still in the Hallmark movie range. It was a good movie, but no real message other than to love your children intensely.
Ah. When I looked on Netflix, this title went to a western sequel with Luke Perry. Guess I'll delete those two from the queue.

I don't think so. Tintin in this movie is the boy, not the dog. I think the 70s TV show was a dog named Rin Tin Tin.

Ok I think we might be confusing two different shows here.
There was an animated version of "The Adventures of Tintin" (the human reporter with his faithful dog) that appeared to have been done in the early 90's and it looks like it was produced for television in France.

Then there was U.S. tv series in 1950's call "The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin". And yes the dog (not the boy) was named Rin Tin Tin.

I have a question about Christian movies in the US. On Pure Flix I watch trailers of movies. Some movies I love to watch. Not many movies are translated in my language or for sale in the Christian book stores here. Have you an idea if I can find these movies on You Tube so I can watch them?
