| Actually, I went with Spiderman. I watched The Amazing Spider Man (the new one that came out in 2012) and Spiderman (the first one with Toby Maguire) yesterday to compare the two. While the fight scenes are better in the new movie due to yet better CG effects, I prefer the one with Toby. The whole arc with him being a superhero but trying to battle Spidey's popularity with his own lack of self-worth really hit with me. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

Actually, I am probably going to start now with Iron Man and work my way through all the movies (Hulk, Thor, Capt. America) and end with the Avengers. With Star Trek, I have done full marathons of the movies, but I prefer to do them according to TOS or Next Generation. Nowadays, I have 3 classifications: TOS, Next Generation, and Reboot. If it had been live action, I would be less impressed, but as a cartoon I could accept the over-the-top or unrealistic action sequences. The plot itself was fine. Going to watch "Shogun" or "Roots" after that? I don't think he was in Roots, but Richard Chamberlain was the king of mini-series in the 70's & 80's _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

Had fond memories of it and had to see it again. Never did see Roots. I've got a few other mini-series here with me that I pull out from time to time...Stephen King's The Stand, Spielberg's Taken, and the 3 hour start to Battlestar Galactica.

What is this and the first one like? Actually, this is the only movie in this series. It is just a film about the memories of one lady's dad (true story) and the life they had growing up with 9 kids. It is low budget being sold on the PureFlix movie roster. The acting is above average but still in the Hallmark movie range. It was a good movie, but no real message other than to love your children intensely. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/
