Very heavy effects ! Also, much better storyline/plot than the earlier ones. - Quote :

Can't say I've ever watched one of their movies (just the tv show), I would imagine sleep would be my response as well

Tim Curry plays Long John Silver in TI, and Michael Cain plays Scrooge in CC. But I must confess to not being a fan of any of the other muppet movies I have seen. I only fell asleep because I was sitting on the couch and was cold so I wrapped up in a blanket...does it to me every time. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

No Greater Love I also have "No Greater Love". Interesting plot. I think it has a great message to it, and the acting is pretty good, too. I haven't heard of "The Wishing Tree". Last night, we went to the theater and saw: Joyful Noise_________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

Does your library have a Netflix sub or something? They seem to be able to get obscure movies pretty easy. Unfortunately, Netflix does not have some movies like Livgren's Imposter. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| If it's anything like our local library, there's a vast selection of obscure and popular releases on vhs and dvd that are up for free rental. Usually stuff like "Anne of Green Gables" or something, but every once in a while, they have some of those "omg, I totally forgot about that movie !!" selections. Not sure how they can do this, but they do it. | |

Unfortunately, Netflix does not have some movies like Livgren's Imposter. It is a bit hit or miss at my library, but I'm not checking my physical branch (it is just too small). I go online and have access to anything that my entire county has at any of it's branches (over 20). It can take quite a while to get them in, especially if they are new (and popular). But just for example, my library has ordered about 40 copies of the new Sherwood film "Courageous". I plan to buy it, but I put it on hold just to see how many people have reserved it. 299 people have it on hold, and you get the movie for a week. So it could be a month or more before the later people get to see it. It can be great for older films because there is almost no wait, but some of the more recent obscure/indie stuff doesn't always get picked up. Nice thing is that anything I order gets sent to my local branch and I stop by every saturday morning to turn in the old stuff and pick up the new (I just got an e-mail telling me "No Greater Love" has shipped to my branch). And sadly my library system doesn't have Livgren's Imposter either. And yes G/F there is a ton of current block-buster stuff, and tons of "Anne of Green Gables" type stuff just sitting on the shelves. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... | Oh yes, and it is not at all uncommon for the discs to be badly damaged by the patrons. On a few occasions the movies can be totally unwatchable, with little or no recourse if it is an older film with no other copies. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

Wow. I assume county taxes pay for that. Impressive they have the library at such high priority. Our county library closed all but one satellite branch with the down economy in 2008. We have maybe 100K people in the county. Lowest per capita income in the state. I honestly would never have guessed that. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| Well, we do have a very democrat-heavy state that pushes some serious property and sales taxes. The region of the county where we live in has us paying the highest property taxes allowed by our state law, and we pay about 10% in sales tax. So it's good to seem them use the tax money for something we can actually use. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

Just finished watching Real Steel. I saw the trailer for that, looks like it might be really good. Is it out on video yet or did you go to the theater? _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."
