| After a failed attempt in December to see Harry Potter Pt 7.1, we finally got there and saw it a few days ago......... Here's my Harry Potter ratings.........
1 - Harry Potter 3 - 9.0/10
2 - Harry Potter 5 - 8.5/10
3 - Harry Potter 6 - 8.5/10
4 - Harry Potter 1 - 8.0/10
5 - Harry Potter 4 - 7.5/10
6 - Harry Potter 7 - 7.0/10
7 - Harry Potter 2 - 6.0/10
I gave it 7 out of 10. It was good, but not enough happened and it lacked that certain punch.

Fundy I haven't seen the last two or three movies but for some reason I'm getting the feeling that they have over played this franchise.

| The other night my daughter made me watch "Another Cinderella Story" with her. One of those fluffly teenage comedy-dramas....it was actually kind of fun and entertaining (but don't tell her I said that).
Also watched a rather sad (as in depressing) documentary called "Aging Out" about foster kids that hit 18-21 and "age out" of the foster care system without getting a real family.

| Funny how sometimes films that you shouldn't like (Another Cinderella Story or whatever) turn out to be rather good fun.
As for me, at Christmas I got lots of DVD's...... last night I watched one of those and it was "Back Room Boy" from 1941 (I think), and it starred Arthur Askey.
I love 1930's and 40's comedies.

| Netflixed "The Blind Side" right when our DVD player gave up the ghost.
Amazoned a new player, so we gotta wait to watch it. (We can plug the laptop into our big screen tv, but it plays movies in a square... kinda annoying)

| i just watched 'Buried,' with Ryan Reynolds. was this supposed to be an indie film? it had that feel to it.
Reynolds was the only seen actor in the entire thing, but before any of the other ladies [and a couple of the guys] get all excited, there's no pretty-boy posturing from the most recent People's 'Sexiest Man Alive.'
there were a lot of unanswered questions, but overall, this turned out to be a very tense drama with a hold-your-breath surprise ending. | |
