| I was wanting the new Jonah33 and Barlow Girl discs. However, they have found their way already into the "cool-ection". Others I am looking forward to: Grimmark Rob Rock Thousand Foot Krutch Stryper Whitecross (if it ever releases) Oratoria X-Sinner Third Day (doesn't come out until Jan. 2008) Todd Agnew .....and that's the SHORT list. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I still need a couple that already released like Deliverance and SDS. Future ones I want to get from what was listed already are Rob Rock Stryper Whitecross X-Sinner Seventh Avenue Tourniquet
This is the only one I can think of that wasn't on anyone's list yet Stricken
I know there must be more, but I haven't been keeping up with things much lately. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

I REALLY WANT some Saint!!! I have thought about "The Collection", which appears to be their first 4 lps. Any thoughts on that????? And, I like the song "In The Battle" off the same name lp. Any suggestions?????
Also, I am thinking about purchasing Harmony, and SevenDay,Divinefire and Narnia.........ANY guidance here??? (Meaning, Which lp?) | |

| The collection is well worth getting as it contains "Too Late For Living," which is arguably their best album. (I think THe Mark is their best, but that's another story!)
ANyway, it's a great place to start.
Harmony is an excellent band, it's the kind of metal that's easy to listen to any day of the week, melodic and not extreme.

Also, I am thinking about purchasing Harmony, and SevenDay,Divinefire and Narnia.........ANY guidance here??? (Meaning, Which lp?) Since you get 4 albums, I'd go for The Collection. The Mark, Saint's latest, all revolves around end times themes, which gets tired for me so I'd go for In the Battle if you wanted a taste of modern Saint. As for the others, Harmony and 7 Days only have 1 album. Both are good, the latter being more epic/symphonic. I think the last Narnia CD, Enter the Gate, is their best and boldest and along the lines of Harmony. Most think the second 2 DF CDs were better than the first. I like them all. There's more extreme vox on the latter ones. DF is harder overall musically, too. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| Thanks so much for the suggestions...think I will go with "The Collection". I knew that Harmony and 7Days only had one album, I guess I was just looking for encouragement . I am still thinking about DF, but I appreciate your input. | |

Great choice, the collection was the first thing I ever got from Saint as well. At the time it meant I had all of their studio albums in one collection. Since then they have released 3 other studio albums and a live album. Starting with the album "The Mark" probably would not have been a good idea. While it is a good album, it is somewhat different then most of their other albums. -- _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Hey, I'm gonna open up this old thread to ask for some advice. I am buying Saint "The Collection" for myself for my b-day, along with Letter 7-because I have listened to the samples on cdbaby so-many-times I know that I will like it . Anyway, here is the advice I am asking for: I am gonna' get ONE of these, and maybe the others later, but, which one of these do you recommend, I know that they are similar in style-etc.....Thanks: Divinefire "Glory Thy Name" Majestic Vanguard Narnia "The Great Fall", "Desert Land" or "Enter The Gate" 7Days PoorMan'sRiches (their first one) Thanks So Much I look forward to your suggestions. (Also) Where can I purchase some Bloodgood? | |

I agree, both of those are tied for "Best of Saint" in my mind. - Quote :

| Tim, I can let you hear both of those. I think you'd love them--I think your mom would run for cover and hide under the bed!

| Rob Rock isn't the hardest in the world, but his music is intense. I think it would be a lot more agressive than what your mom normally hears you playing.

| I recently got Holy Hell (as stated elsewhere, here ) and besides the one song to his father (which I totally understand) the ENTIRE cd ROCKS. I have been listening it on a daily basis, at least various songs.....I tend to do that to new stuff that I really like. EXCELLENT stuff. P. S. Saint and Letter7 in the mail , will let you know. | |
