| I must be getting too old. I used to love the harder things in life. I use to really like thrash, symphonic metal, power metal etc. But latlely anything harder than Whitecross, Stryper, Letter 7 etc., I just cannot listen too anymore. I guess my parents were right. | I take it in spells. Sometimes I want the heavier stuff. Sometimes I want things more 80's metal. Sometimes, I don't want rock at all and go with Casting Crowns or Mercy Me. But, I still always come back to the rock.
I'm not ready to give up being a rocker. Ask me again in another 40 years. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I think we go through phases. There are times I want nothing but extreme metal. Then there are times when all I want to listen to is Joy Electric or some mellow indie rock thing. Other times I'm really into classic rock or whatever. So I think it comes in waves, and we soldier through those times to get back to a more "normal" listening pattern (whatever that means!). | |

| I go in phases too. I loved the European power-metal sound for a few years but I got really burned out on it and haven't listened to much of it for a few years now. I love the lighter AOR and hard rock stuff as well as the 80's metal, and that has never seemed to change. Lately though I have even enjoyed a few of the much harder releases (such as a few of the Ultimatum albums and "gasp" even some of the Tourniquet catalog) stuff I never would have listened to just a few years ago. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... | I still like the heavier stuff. Ohhh yep, sometimes I have a Third Day or Casting Crowns mood. For me too, the rock always comes back. | |

| I assure you it has nothing to do with age. Unless of course you really were brainwashed by your parents. I'm 38 and love the really hard stuff as much as ever. Of course I do mellow out sometimes, but even the stuff I mellow out to would probably be considered hard to your parents (and mine as well). | |
