| Hello,
After a great deal of hard work, time and effort, I just launched the Angelic Warlord Discography section. You can check it out at: http://www.angelicwarlord.com/discography/discography.html
It is my goal to add additional bands to the discography section in the weeks and months to come. Please let me know if you have any questions or feedback.
Thanks,
Andy | |

| Bride has such an extensive back catalog I had no choice but to break their discography down between studio albums, live albums and compilations.
Thanks | |

| Great stuff, Andy. You've done a brilliant job on that site. I've had a look at a number of bands on that list and plan on going through many more.
Cheers

| So what's the limit? Are you thinking that a band would need to have at least 3 or 4 albums to merit a discography? _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Good question. I like to have at a minimum two albums released. You will notice I have discography pages for Letter 7, ReinXeed and The Seventh Power, bands that all have two albums out.
But in time as I add more artists to the section I plan to add pages for bands that released only album (and were never heard from again): Rage Of Angels, Scarlet Red, Dual Edge, etc.

True, but one would expect those bands to put out a few more albums since they are active (well at least one more). - Dynamis wrote:

I'll just assume that you meant to include "Red Sea" in that list. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

Red Sea should definitely have been included.

| Or the Daniel Band?? I see though you only have 3 of their albums reviewed.... Are you missing the others? In my opinion one of their top two releases is 'Rise Up'..... | |

Please keep in mind that the Discography section is a "work in progress". I just started work on Resurrection Band earlier today (probably would have finished it if I did not have to go to work!) and have not had the opportunity to get to Jerusalem. Jerusalem is on my list of bands to include, along with Stryper, Deliverance, Whitecross, Guardian, Barnabas, Veni Domine, Holy Soldier and a host of others. - Quote :

Daniel Band is a bit problematic in that I do not have good source material to work with. For example, I do not have a clean scan of "Rise Up" or the Retroactive re-issue of "Rise Up/Running Out Of Time" from a few years ago. But I agree that "Rise Up" is a very good album. My top selection would be "Run From The Darkness".

I still have my vinyl of 'Rise Up' and have the CD of 'Running Out of Time'.... if any of that might be helpful?? I could try to scan a cover ???? let me know

| I also own a vinyl version of "Rise Up" and have "Running Out Of Time" on CD.
But my question is how do you scan an object as large as a vinyl record cover? I own a pretty decent Epson scanner (and Photoshop Elements), which works fine for CD covers, but do not know where to start for vinyl. Suppose I could do a Google search to start...

| If you scan a cassette cover how would that come out? How big a item do you have to have?..... | |

I have gotten a lot of quality scans off cassettes. It takes a bit more time and some trial and error (at least when compared to a CD cover) but you can get some real good results. For example, the artwork on the Dual Edge review at the site was scanned off the old cassette copy I own. I do not know if there is a minimum size when it comes to scanning an object. I mean, with enough time and attention to detail you could probably get a decent scan of an object the size of a quarter. The key to successful scanning is not necessarily the size of the object but rather the size that you eventually scan it. I will scan in a typical CD cover at around 1000 X 1000 px and then when optimizing it shrink it down to 225 X 225 px for the review- that is how you get a clean and glossy looking finish. A good scanner helps and so does Photoshop elements.
