| The Eric Durrance stuff thou is really good. I would call it more country/rock. There is a little rock in it and not a whole lot of twang. I'll have to get started on my A B C's | |

Eric Durrance Ok that's actually pretty decent for country, but the whole "southern twang/drawl" in his vocals seems a little disingenuous.....I mean he didn't sound like that at all on the Big Dismal album. Wonder if he actually talks that way? _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Honestly thou I think his vocals are more suited for what he is doing with his solo stuff. I liked Big Dismal but I got the impression that either they or the label were pushing them as the next Creed. If you listen to the first song on the album "Rember IOU" I could easily hear Scott Stapp singing it. But that's just me, now back to our ABC's Heres my A's Anberlin Angelica Adriangale (Jamie Rowe's former band) | |

I only have their "Skywire" album, kind of a 90's grunge/alt album. Not at all band but a little "disjointed". I hear their other albums are better but in a different style. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

I'm not sure why but it surprises me to see that band on your list (but it probably shouldn't since you do have diverse tastes). Thanks for chiming in.....there is also a D-E-F thread out there too, feel free to sound off on that one too. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

Yeah, "Skywire" was somewhat disjointed, coming off as half grunge (not all that great), and half more mellow, moody alternative (better). Most of the grunge feel was dropped for the superior follow-up "Delicate Fade". I recommend that album heartily! | Very cool list M-Fro......mostly "old-school" stuff (which I like). I think I will have to keep an eye out for that second Common Children album, sounds like they really pulled it together. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

Haha yeah Anberlin is actually one of the first Christian bands I ever listened to. Paperthin Hymn was basically my theme song for a solid year It's funny though actually being interested in many different styles because I don't even know what to tell people what my favorite things to listen to are anymore! lol. | |

| I heard Paperthin Hymn by Anberlin while at a Disciple concert (you know, the music they play before a band comes on stage) and I was hooked. Never really thought I would like them but Cities and New Surrender are agreat albums | |
