DeGarmo & Key - "D & K"

Never been a big DeGarmo & Key fan but decided to pull their 1987 album "D & K" off the shelf - and dust it off in the process! - and give it a spin.

This thing really smokes in places! While not exactly hard rock, there are places that definitely "rock hard". Probably the groups most consistently heavy CD- at least next to "Straight On". Songwriting is really good as well.

I found this one one cassette a few years ago (seems to be really hard to find most of their stuff on cd). I really dig it. Not really hard rock, but much of it does rock anyway. I had never really heard them until about two years ago, I was pleasently surprised with their music. Very catchy, and mostly rockin stuff. Good vocals too.

Probably the best D & K album that they released. Would love to track this down on cd

I've seen them twice in concert back in the 80s. Once in Sacramento and once at an amusement park near San Francisco. They are a really good concert band. My favorite CD from them is Commander Sozo & The Charge Of The Light Brigade.

Hey guys, I am a huge D&K fan. I collected nearly all their releases, with a couple of exceptions.

My favorite release was the late 70's live album "No turning back". The sound was 70's style blues influenced rock and the lyrics were pure. Great live versions of "Jericho", "Wayfaring Stranger". But the two that stand out to me are "Emmanuel" and "Let Him help you today" both with great instrumentals mixed in.

The amusement park was Great America.... Saw them there with Petra.... They mopped up the floor with Petra...

D&K is great rock album.... War With The World RAWKS...
