| I didn't see this posted anywhere, though I didn't look everywhere. If it has been, please merge or delete this thread.
LIVE released a live cd in Nov/Dec last year, LIVE: At The Paradiso - Amsterdam. It contains 14 live tracks as well as two new tracks. Just recently, this cd was sent out to all major Christian stations, with a letter from Ed Kowalczyk (lead singer). The letter stated this:
"Dear Friends at Christian Radio:
My name is Eddie Kowalczyk. I am the lead singer and songwriter for the band LIVE. Thank you for taking the time to read my letter.
In consideration of the value of your time and the mad pace of our "twittering" world, I'll cut right to the chase. My heart and my sould have been saved; redeemed, rebooted and restarted by the Lord Jesus Christ. His Resurrection is my Salvation and my Strenth forever!
The song "Forever", which I am asking you to share with your listeners, is a document of my Faith and a joyous noise unto the infinite and unfathomable Love of Jesus Christ our Creator and our Savior. It gives me great pleasure to share it with others who have tasted the sweet peace and freedom that only the Lord can give.
Thank you for this opportunity and may God Bless you and yours.
Eddie Kowalczyk"
The Christian Rock station here in Dallas, 89.7 Power FM (KVRK), has added "Forever" to their rotation. "Forever" could be played on CCM stations as well. The second song, "Purifier", is even a little heavier. It features John Popper, of Blues Traveler, as well.

| Wow, this is great news. I was a fan of Live from their first album, but gave them up years ago when I trashed nearly all my secular music. I think it was fairly obvious that most of Ed's lyrics show a man searching for a "spiritual truth" (as it were). I truly hope that Christ has gotten hold of him in the best way.
I will need to check out the new song. I would also be interesting to see how he handles the lyrics for his old "Operation Spirit" song now that he is a "new man". _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| You also have Fieldy from Korn, who was saved and now in a band with Wuv from P.O.D. -- kind of a street rap/metal. As well as one of the guys from Anvil, who is doing Christian pop/worship stuff now. Can't remember his name off the top of my head. BTW, Ed will still be doing everything under the LIVE moniker. Not sure if the band will change or not, or if they are all coming closer to the Lord. | |
