| Are you critical to buy new music? Do you order when you've listened to the samples once? Or do you need more time and listen a several times to the samples of a CD before you decide to order? Some music has to grow and takes a lot of listenings before you really like it. Do you have the same?
When you listen for the first time to the samples of a new band you like them all? And when your ordered CD is at home in your CD player you are disapointed about the CD?
What about this? You have listened to samples of songs were others are enthusiast about and you can't come in the music. You order the CD to try it again and yep ... you like the music? (yes that's me with the previous Disciple CDs.)
Have you ever bought CDs without listening to the samples? | |

| I have really taken to searching out some decent samples of almost everything before I order. I don't wanna order anymore albums that I don't care for after just a few spins. There are a few artists I will buy without hearing first just becasue I like everything they have done (Rob Rock, Saint, Sacred Warrior etc.) _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... | Yeah, I've got a shoe box full of stuff that I just don't care for anymore and could probably cut a few more from the coolection. So, I've spent a little more time listening to samples when I can. I'm hoping to do more sampling so that I only get discs that are going to be big players for me. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Since i come from Far East, i usually buy my cds via mail order service and most of the time i depend on album reviews. But there are certain bands that i definitely will buy it even in the absence of reviews and samples like Rob Rock, Stryper, Impellitteri and Whitecross. | |

The only review worth listening to is your own ears. Today there's really no excuse not to be able to hear at least clips of any newer CD before you buy. In the "old days", it was clearly much harder to do that. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

I agree with Staybrite. All the albums I buy I listen to first, but there are a number of artists that I'd just go and buy without listening to samples because I know they'll be great........... Rob Rock Impellitteri (even his more secular stuff) Bride Stryper Sacred Warrior Guy Ritter Seventh Avenue etc... Fundy _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

| Hey Alldat - email me a list of stuff you want to get rid of! Yeah, I'm with you guys... I don't order anything unless I already know that I like it and would want to listen to it many times. I HAVE ordered some CDs without hearing them first because I knew and loved the band, but I have even been disappointed that way. For example, Saint - LOVE them... was THRILLED when they started doing new stuff again. But "In The Battle" just didn't live up to my expectations, so I haven't brought myself to order anything newer yet. I don't regret buying "ITB" mind you, but it just doesn't give me the same excitement over their new stuff that I once had. And there have been a few bands over the years that I loved, but then they brought out an album that just plain stunk... I bought it expecting it to be up to the band's usual standard, but then said, "what the heck is this???" So yeah... I'm careful. | |
