| Hello,
I just updated Angelic Warlord to include reviews of albums by Scelerata ("Darkness & Light") and Sorrows Joy ("Fallow Ground"). I also updated the sites Release Dates page and added some new Christian Metal news as well (located on the home page):
http://www.angelicwarlord.com/reviews/s/scelerata07.html
http://www.angelicwarlord.com/reviews/s/sorrowsjoy08.html
Please be sure to check back next Monday because I have planned a major update to the site in which I will be updating the featured reviews column (and adding 3 new reviews in the process) while adding a great deal of Christian Metal news as well. As a matter of fact, I spent the entire weekend crawling the web looking for any type of relevant news and links I could find.
Of the 3 reviews, I have planned Ted Leonard - "Way Home" and D.O.G.S. of Pray - "The Rise...". The third I am undecided upon but am leaning towards re-writing the Darrell Mansfield "Revelation" review (originally wrote it back in 2004) and recycling it in the featured reviews column. I thought there might be renewed interest in the artist since he just released a new blues/rock album.
In the next coming months I am going to be kept quite busy because there are a ton of albums soon scheduled for release:
Driver - Sons Of Thunder X-Sinner - World Covered In Blood Mad Max - Here We Are Static Fuse - Static Fuse
There are also re-issues of Deliverance (first two albums) and Legacy to consider as well.
Thanks,
Andy | |

X-Sinner - World Covered In Blood Mad Max - Here We Are Static Fuse - Static Fuse I'll be looking forward to adding each of these to the collection--particularly the X-Sinner, Mad Max, and Static Fuse discs. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| I got the Driver CD last night from NEH Records and so far it's pretty good. It's weird, though, hearing some of the songs that Rob Rock did with Impelliteri on here as I had never heard the original M.A.R.S.-Driver project. I'm know that Impelliteri redid these songs with their own style, but it is just odd hearing "I'm A Warrior" and "Fly Away" by a band that doesn't have Chris Impelleteri playing guitar. With that said, you metal heads are gonna eat this up. Typical Rob Rock "big hook" songs with Roy Z's great guitar work. The lyrical content isn't as in your face as Rob's latest solo disc or the Fires Of Babylon project. But, just scanning across the lyric sheet, his faith is still evident. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Andy I just read your "Sorrows Joy" review and checked out the sound samples at CDBaby. Very promising (especially for a one-man indie project). I will definitely need to add that one to my list. I think the album cover seems a little out of place for the music (at least to me). I was expecting Black Metal or something in that vein, based on the album cover. - alldatndensum wrote:

That was my biggest concern, I guess I'm gonna have to get this one too. Boy my list is getting way too long. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I now have both the Driver and Stricken discs. My list is now shorter by two. Now if only Thomas would send the Incarnate disc so I could hear myself playing.....

| Hope nobody minds me bumping up an old thread, but I was out of town all weekend and only recently had the opportunity to get back here. - Quote :

I agree about Sorrows Joy- it is definitely one of the surprises of the year. Good observation about the album artwork- I never previously associated it with any type of extreme metal.

| I'm looking forward to reading your review of X-Sinner's new album, as that's right at the top of my list. I'm gonna go read your review of Sorrows Joy right now, and see what it's like. Unfortunately I can't go to myspace on this computer as it crashes!!! Fundy _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness
