It's not really hard christian music the music from Darrell Mansfield, but I am sure there are some blues fans who like to know this about Darrell Mansfield.
What me touched very deep is the way how God intervented in Darrell's life.

His parents were alcoholics and devorced when Darrel was at High School.
Darrell left High School completly broken down.
He lost a friend in the Vietnam war, an other friend took an overdose, an other friend took his life.
Then his girlfriend left him.
He walked into a church and said "Jesus, You get my life" on what he cut's his wrists.
When the sexton didn't found he bleed to death. He lost so many blood that his heart scarcely was beating.
They brought him to the hospital where they could barely safe him.
One year later Darrell played in the rockband Free Flight. The guitarist of the band invited Darrel for supper at his place.
There Darrell saw for the first time people with sincere relationship with the living Jesus.
What he saw was not a religion, but a honest relationship with the living Lord.
Before his suicide Darrell played guitar, but because some specific functions in his hands and wrists were blocked he started he to play harmonica.
This harmonica made him world famous.
When Darrell couldn't control his life anymore and decided it was enough, it was God who decided it wasn't His time for Darrell to die when he walked into the church.
God had other plans with Darrell.
That's what touched me so deep in this story.
He turned the misery situation from Darrell to give him a new hope, a new future together with the Lord.
Wasn't this a proof how God can change miserable circumstances?
When we don't see hope, it's God who shows us in Him there's always hope.
With guitarist Eric Turner Darrell made "Blues With A Feeling".
Eric released solo CDs too.
