| I called the power company about having a tree cut. They pretty much decimated it last year when they cut out on side of it's limbs. The tree had a little rot at ground level, but that has grown substantially since they trimmed it last summer. Also, with all the weight on one side now, the tree is leaning at a very scary angle and threatening to rip out a bunch of other power lines if she falls.
So, they are here this morning taking the tree down. I've had to talk to the power company 4 different times. I've also gotten other people to come to give an estimate to cut it. Without a bucket truck to maneuver through the limbs, I cannot find someone else to cut the tree. So, the power company has finally agreed.
Man, those saws and that chipper truck is LOUD! With my front yard being so small, it sounds like everything is sitting on my porch. Well, they are only about 15 feet FROM the porch! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| A good advice to move them soon, serve fresh coffee for the guys and you'll see the are soon poof gone. Yes I know how noisy that things are. My advice is use your ear plugs for the noise or check out one of your amps. | |

| I decided to just leave, take my book, and go to Cracker Barrel for a big breakfast and read. No noisy tree cutters there! When I got home, they had removed most of the tree--as far as cutting goes. But, I have some HUGE pieces of trunk to find a way to dispose of. My truck could never handle the weight!

| Mmmmmm Cracker Barrel, man I wish they had those around here.
As far as getting rid of the wood, just put up a big FREE WOOD sign, and hopefully it will disappear. Works here for just about anything, it never ceases to amaze me the junk people will take just because its free. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I'm not sure I can get it hauled off for free. One section of this trunk probably weighs several hundred pounds and would take several good sized men to lift whole. Someone would have to saw it into pieces before it can be moved again. Not many people want to go to that trouble even for free firewood.

| Hmmmm well put a sign on it that says "Valuable, please don't steal" Some two-bit thieves will find a way to get it off of your lawn. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| My wife talked to our pastor today as they work for the same company. I sent a couple of photos of the logs via cellphone. He is going to come Saturday and cut the wood down to size and haul it off. He wants it for firewood. With the center of the tree rotted out, that's about all it's good for now. I will miss having that tree. It was here 18 years ago when we moved in. It's a very old tree, and I hated cutting it down, but it was getting so dangerous to leave up. With the front yard being so small, I will not plant another tree there to take its place.

| Well are going to loose a lot of shade against your house now?
Maybe you could plant something a little more managable. That could still give you something to look at, but would get so tall as to interfere with the power lines _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I'll lose a little late afternoon shade, but the remaining tree in our front yard provides most of the shade for the house anyway.
