I never liked Nicholas Cage until I saw him in "Face Off".

Definately one of my favorite actors, but the film that introduced me to him, and made me a fan was Rob Roy. I have pretty much loved everything else he has done. Some other favorites of mine...

Rutger Hauer -- I remeber him playing my hero "Floris" in a TV serial when I was a kid. In that time he was my hero.
