| A buddy of mine at the CMR set me up today with a couple of out of print CDs that I would have loved to had originals of, but I will gladly settle for CD-Rs. He sent me the MP3s, and I burned them to disc. Have you ever heard, or heard of: St. Warren - Honest Planet Slavetrade - The Lies That Bind St. Warren reminds me a bit of Guardian with Jamie Rowe. But, the singer sounds a bit more like Mike Lee of Barren Cross. But, it's still high quality, well produced 80's style metal. Riff-o-liscious! I had never heard of this outside of a current thread there, but it is something I am glad to have. Slavetrade is pretty good, too. I had the cassette tape years ago. I've tried to get it at Ebay several times, but keep getting outbid. Anyway, Slavetrade, while not quite having the same production, is in the vein of the first Skid Row and early Slaughter stuff. The bass makes the mix a bit muddy, but it is great stuff. I would like to find an original, but the CD-R will do. I just love falling in love with old classics! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| No I never have heard of St. Warren and Slavetrade. Lucky you to get those out of print CDs. Old classics are always good. Can I ask how Skid Row and Slaughter sounds? | |

| You could do a quick Yahoo and Google search for them. But, they are both secular bands. I just used their names to compare them to a certain style. Fear Not is a Christian band in that vein as well.

| Could be. The guitar tone and singer sound the same.

| Searched a bit online to find more information about St. Warren. If the information I found is correct the first name of the band was St. Warren and later they changed the band name into Warren Brothers. | |

| I have listened to both, and really like them. Both lost gems from the early 90's. Even though the production is a little poor, I think I would have to pick the Slavetrade just slightly over St. Warren. But both great albums.
Now where is that "Retroactive Records" owner when you need him? _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I hope that everyone who was interested had the chance to download these. I made them available for several days. If you missed these, I am sorry.
