| My Visit to Hell by Paul Thigpen. A modern-day retelling of Dante's Inferno. And, by George, it's pretty good. _________________ Ecc 9:11 I returned and saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happens to them all.

Okay I gotta read that. I read John Ciardi's translation of Dante's Inferno when I was in Highschool, and read a different (much older) translation a few years ago. I just recently read "Purgatoro" (not nearly as good as Inferno). And eon's ago I read Larry Niven & Jerry Pournelle's modern adaptation (also titled Inferno). Niven and Pournelle's retelling is also very good, they do make some changes to the "landscape" in a few of the circles of hell that is kind of amusing. _________________ -- "One day you'll stand before God and realize it wasn't about you"

I've liked everything else I've read by Olson, but this one is a bit hard to get into for me._________________ "DEJA MOO--The feeling that you've heard this bull before!" |

Ah book "zero" in the Circle "Trilogy". Didn't know that was out yet. I was/am a huge fan of the Red/Black/White novels. I would be interested to hear your opinion of "Green" _________________ -- "One day you'll stand before God and realize it wasn't about you"
