- Is this a Christian band? I heard they were.
Good question. It has always been my understanding Ivory Moon is not a Christian band but rather includes several Christian members, which influences the lyrics to "Human Nature". As a matter of fact, in my review of the album I wrote the following:
"While not a Christian band, Ivory Moon does interweave occasional Christian imagery in its lyrics throughout the project. “Golgota”, a dramatic track portraying the events leading up to and including Christ’s crucifixion, showcases this best. Other numbers worth noting include “In The Deep Forest” – which focuses on seeing God in creation – and the eternal themes present in “Phantom Ship”."

- They are called "epic symphonic metal" but IMHO they don't come close to most the bands I listen to in that genre.
I labeled them the same because that is how the band describes its music. Actually, the progressive feel to Ivory Moon is quite understated.

- They sound "ok" but nothing really great enough for me to run out and purchase.
I felt the same after listening to "Human Nature" the first couple of times but with repeated listen - six or seven spins, as a matter of fact - the CD really grew on me.
