Grand Lux - "Carved In Stone"
Good old-fashioned catchy and energetic hard rock. No, nothing new or groundbreaking but good nonetheless. I cranked this one!
Bride - "Oddities"
This is the only Bride album I struggle with. Thought I would give it another chance but still cannot get into it (even after over ten years)
Bride - "Tsar Bomba"
Nuff said.
Jacobs Dream - "Beneath The Shadows"
By far the best album I have heard so far in 2009. Production could use a bit of polish but the songwriting is spot on.
Stryper - "Murder By Pride"
I don't like the production (particularly the drum sound) and there are a few filler tracks, but there are a LOT of good things here: the albums better material is great and it is good to hear Stryper mix in elements of its signature sound.
Bride - "This Is It"
Yes, I have been on a bit of a Bride kick lately. WAAAAY underrated album, especially the Retroactive re-issue with improved sonics as a result of the re-mastering. I could have done without the universalism propoganda in the track "Universe", however.
