There was a Retroactive bulletin on MySpace with all the songs of the new Seventh Power, I listened to them and really wish the CD is available to order.
Ohhh I can't wait ...

Like I said on the Fires Of Babylon thread, it shouldn't be long seeing that they have started selling MP3s of the album.

This is much better production wise than any other of Menchen's work that I have heard. I really like the sound.

I think that the production is better, and these songs seem to really be written more for Bill's voice. Some of the stuff on the Redeemer and Rev Seven stuff were screaming for more vocal variation than Bill seems capable of.

I agree about the improvement in production.
And yes the songs do seem to really suit his voice better then some of his previous work.

Much of the guitar work is simply fantastic.
Looking forward to getting my hands on a copy.

The music is stellar, but the vocals are grating. Every song has a heavily processed, robotic tone to it. Yuck!

Finally "Dominion And Power" is released.
Radrockers has the second album of Seventh Power in stcok for $ 15.
Yeahh I hear you thinking that bummer $ 25 rule they have.

There seems to be a love/hate relationship with Bill Menchen's vocals.

You either love him, or you have no taste and you hate him.

When you aren't a fan of doom metal you don't like Bill Menchen.
I like all his musical projects.

I tolerate the vox since they have an Ozzy feel to them.

Wow! Im really impressed with the improvement on Dominion and Power. On the debut, I was kinda disappointed with Sweet's drumming. It just didn't seem to me like it was his best work. Although on the new album, it sounds like he spiced it up a bit.

Robert has the ability to play to the song. The first Seventh Power CD was meant to have almost a stoner/doom vibe, and Robert's playing was rather lazy. Oh, he still managed to accent every note as he typically does, but he does it without overplaying.

To me, Robert just played to the songs. He didn't try to add too much to them....he just wanted to emphasize what he felt needed it. I think it worked out great.

The only song I am disappointed by on the debut Seventh Power CD is that "Ocean Motion Emotion" song. Because of the meaningless, redundant lyrics, a great peace of music was ruined with almost gibberish in the vocal department.

Other than that, another excellent release featuring Bill Menchen!

It seemed to me like the new album sounded a lot like the newest Titanic album (with the exception of the vox) which is definitely not a bad thing.

Bill does tend to write a particular way.......and I like it a lot!

If you liked the first Seventh Power disc, this one is miles better!
