New Day Of Fire Album Delayed Til 2010? Day Of Fire has been buzzing on their Twitter and MySpace in recent weeks about their long awaited forthcoming album. The record, rumored to be titled Losing All was originally slated for a Fall, 2009 release. JFH spoke with someone at the band's new label home, Razor & Tie, this week who told us the record has been postponed until 2010. The label's reasoning? "To give it the proper set up." Hopefully it'll be worth the wait! We'll keep you posted on any future updates... |
That's unfortunate. I was really looking forward to some new Day of Fire this year too. |

| "Give the proper set up"?!??! Wasn't "Cut and Move" released in 2006? If they lolly-gag around for too long the fan base will move on to other bands (or even a different style of music), if they haven't already. _________________ -- "One day you'll stand before God and realize it wasn't about you"

| Wow that's quite the surprise. ...good thing i can keep myself sustained on all of their good old stuff. I can't see that many of their fans moving on to other things, maybe getting a little frustrated but they'll probably stand by them so long as something new comes out eventually. |

| Well I expect that their "serious fans" will stick through, but a large portion of cd purchases are not necessarily made by the "serious fans" but by the fair-weather types. If it has been nearly half a decade since your last radio single the purchasing from the fair-weather fans tends to drop significantly. They have effectively lost any momentum they might have once had. _________________ -- "One day you'll stand before God and realize it wasn't about you"

| I think this could easily be a career killer for DoF. They don't have a long enough track record or number of hits for the band to have an overabundance of fans. Waiting another year for them could cause their more casual fans to just forget about them. _________________ "DEJA MOO--The feeling that you've heard this bull before!" |

| This really irks me if it turns out to be true. This was one album I have been looking forward to. And yes, I think it is a bad move on thier or the labels part to wait so long. My guess thou will be that they will release the album this year on like I-tunes and those wanting a physical cd will have to wait. Bad move. |

I don't think the last album stank--it just was different than their first. Yesterday, I was listening to a lot of Tragedy Ann. The 2nd Day Of Fire reminds me of Tragedy Ann in having more punk and grunge influences._________________ "DEJA MOO--The feeling that you've heard this bull before!" |

| Well I would have to take your word for that because I've never heard any Tragedy Ann. _________________ -- "One day you'll stand before God and realize it wasn't about you"

| It sounds as if Day of Fire doesn't even know their album has been pushed back until 2010 by they they were talking on Twitter. On June 11th they wrote: | Quote: | The show was fun last night... Rock and Roll is a good thing. The record is slated to be out in August for all who was wondering. (Zach)12:02 PM Jun 11th from web |

| Whats bad about that is if the label says it's coming in 2010 and the band says it's August, who's going to win 99% of the time?. That's right, the label. That's why I think they will compromise and release the album digitally first and then the album next year _________________ God is not a microwave,a piggy bank, a genie that will give you everything. | I hope not, I prefer a physical CD over downloading but unfortunatley that's the way of the music biz today. |

| I'm not to picky about that kind of thing. I don't really mind downloading the album digitally through Itunes. If I like it enough I'll go out and buy a physical copy. |

| I won't buy it twice. I will wait for the CD if it is going to be released that way. I only use the download services as a last resort. If the album is going digital only, THEN I'll pay to download. _________________ "DEJA MOO--The feeling that you've heard this bull before!" |

My thought's exactly. For me downloads are fine if the band is giving away their music for free, but I don't really want to pay for a digital copy unless that is the only way I can get it. _________________ -- "One day you'll stand before God and realize it wasn't about you"

| I saw another website that listed the album coming out on Sept 22(?) which is the same day as the new Pillar. Seems like no one can make up their mind when to release it. |

| I refuse to buy a copy digitally. When it comes to having to do that I'll just do without. In all honesty I've already got enough cd's to last me until the day I die anyway. I could play each of my cd's once a day and never hear the same one again for a few years. |
