| So I noticed that Chris Daughtry's upcoming album, Leave This Town, is up for pre-order on MusiChristian.com. So does this mean they have been accepted as a band with a Christian message? I know that they are mostly exclusively mainstream, but I have heard that Chris himself is a Christian (not sure about the band). He just doesn't use his music as a ministry tool, although you can tell his faith does influence his lyrics. The lyrics, depending on how you read into them, could either be about God or just some girl (kind of like Lifehouse). |

| His first album was distributed by Christian bookstores as well. He has been accepted as "safe for Christians" even though he is not an evangelistic artist. At Lifeway Christian Stores, I have even seen a couple of Jonas Bros. discs. Weird, huh? _________________ "DEJA MOO--The feeling that you've heard this bull before!" |

| I saw a Jonas Brothers disc in a "Christian Family Bookstore" as well. Seems that all you have to do to get Christian distro now is to not cuss or sing about sex on your albums. | I am looking forward to the new Daughtry. I know that along time ago his old band Absent Element had lyrics up for all the songs they wrote. They had one called "With Me in Mind" which was very much about Christ dying for our sins. As for the Jonas Brothers, I think they actually started out as a christian group and were even on a Christian label (INO, I think). |

| I really like Daughtry, and I'm excited for the new record. He is most definitely a Christian. The band is a mainstream band with clean lyrics. If he has a Christian message in the music, it is well cloaked. I'm okay with that...music can be a job for him like engineering is for me. I don't do Christian engineering only. |

I don't have a problem with Christians who are performers that do clean music in the mainstream market. But what makes me mad are the ones who want their music sold in Christian bookstores and on Christian radio, but they really have no reference to Christ anywhere in their music except in the "special thanks" section. Get off the freakin' fence!_________________ "DEJA MOO--The feeling that you've heard this bull before!" |

| I really like the sound of this album. I was actually listening to his pre-American Idol band, Absent Element, yesterday. I'm pretty sure I liked that version of Break Down than the version of the Daughtry album. It just sounded more raw and passionate. |

| Absent Element was definitley a lot harder than his solo stuff. It is a pretty good cd. I'll be picking up the new Daughtry when it comes out. As far as lyrically it didn't appear that any were really God centered or show his faith. They are clean lyrics but not overtly Christian. |
