Need some heavy metal? 3 Times Driven is a Christian metal band that lists Metallica and Godsmack as influences. They have a new CD out titled "Wake Up". The music is heavy, and they have a mix of clean and deep, growling vocals. I normally don't care for the vocal style, but there is something about this that really connects to me.

I like his singing voice and the music aspect is very good. But as far as his screaming/growling voice goes, I'm not a fan. Normally that's something up my alley, but it sounds like he's overdoing it. If given the opportunity to get this, I might get it but I'm not going out of my way to pick this one up.

I actually liked the first song, but the second and thrid tune had me wanting to hit the skip button. Just can't get into his growly/shouting vocals I guess.

Gonna have to pass on this one....which is a good thing cuz I don't have the money for 90% of the stuff on my "wants" list as it is.

I am diggin' the new CD very much. It does have some Godsmack and Pantera stylings with this. A nice find for Alldat!

I will add that the rougher, growly voice is overdone on a couple of songs, but the singing voice is prevalent through the rest of the CD.
