| Echo Hollow and Eden were highlights for me. (Know it wasn't an "E", but also, enjoyed the Seventh Day Slumber song ) Thanks Michael, GREAT show. | |

| It's interesting to learn the songs people enjoy, but more so the ones you would expect them to which don't have as great an impact. Bands are always asking what kind of feedback I get. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| Listening to the last few songs in the show right now. Great to hear that you gave a plug to CHM on your show! The one new band (well new to me anyway) that stood out was "Earthsalt" great sounding tune, even if the recording quality wasn't the best. Are those guys still making music? - topshot rhit wrote:

Huh? Not sure what your trying to say here. What songs did you expect to do well? Edit: Just finished, and gotta say the Knoteye song was fantastic! _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Earthsalt is still alive though I feel the new stuff on myspace at least is mellower. Their description would suggest they are harder than they really are, too. Anyway, they are sort of P&W-y on the EP I have. As I recall, their new songs had more of an alternative feel.
As for my other comment it's just interesting how people's tastes differ. Songs you love, somebody else may agree on some of them but not others. I've historically had a good ear for picking out the best songs on a disc. I think part of the difference now may be that I place a fair amount of emphasis on the lyrics to songs now also, so while I may prefer others muscially, I won't play them. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| I find it very interesting how "taste-specific" we are when it comes to music. We just finished up a quarter of studying Psalms in SS and we talked alot about how God created us to respond to music, but how we all have different and specific tastes as to what moves us. | |

| Knoteye is a very cool band. The show is downloading now so I can listen tomorrow. It's a bit late here to listen now. | |

That was one I was referring to. That's one of my top 5 songs. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| It's so sad there's only one Knoteye album. Have you ever heard how the band is doing with members of Knoteye?
I love Kutless and Seventh Day Slumber too.
The Rocksalt shows are for me a good way to discover how many bands sound. That's why I am so happy I can download the shows now.
Thank you Michael. | |

| 2 of the members are still doing the blues in ToneDeft I believe and one is doing power prog metal in Dawn in the Darkness. Not sure about the singer, who's voice I love. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| Checked out Earthsalt on their myspace page. The production sounds much better on the new tunes, but it would be nice if there was a little more "edge" to the music. Still not bad, I really like the singers voice. But probably not something I would stay interested in.
I tend to zone out on a lot of the "hardcore/metalcore" sounding bands (there were quite a few in last weeks show). For some reason if the vocals aren't melodic (for the most part) I just can't seem to keep interested in the song. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."
